Baking the cookies for 10min will result in soft edges and a chewey center, while 12min will give the cookies a firmer texture with crunchy edges.
Raw dough can be stored in fridge 2-3 days or 3-6 months in the freezer in an airtight container or wrapped tightly.
To maintain freshness, store baked cookies at room temperature in an airtight container 3-7 days or refrigerate up to two weeks
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
In a medium bowl, cream together shortening, eggs, sugar and molasses.
In a separate bowl, put dry ingredients together and slowly add to the creamed mixture to form a dough.
Shape into small, ~1.25 inch diameter balls and roll in a bowl of sugar until exterior of dough balls is coated.
